Ms. Jasztal's fourth grade class has the reputation of waiting for the Thanksgiving feast the Monday after Thanksgiving. It has always been a wise choice for us, and this was probably the most delicious feast yet!

Our feast began with wonderful parents who served delectable food.

One family made "turkey cookies".

We just relaxed and ate ourselves to oblivion. :) (Well, in the opinion of a 9-11 year old, anyway.)

The desserts were plentiful!

Then we have students who love eating corn. So in appreciation, this resident of Jasztalville wonderfully heaped it on her plate.

Yes, even a photo of the good ol' teacher was taken. We were in the process of putting up our class Christmas tree. I don't think an entire class of mine ever witnessed the tree coming out of the box before and being assembled.
Yet above all, Thanksgiving is about families. These were not even all the families who attended!

Why do I admire Thomas Alva Edison so much?
I admire Edison because my grandfather on my mother's side idolized him from the time
he was a child. He researched and wrote a novel about him about ten years ago. My grandfather
taught me what it truly means to have a passion for something. His interest in Edison carried on to my mother and then myself.
