  • Blank books (Reason: I currently have 3, yet prefer to have about 20 by the end of the year. The class will be "publishing" their own written works.)
  • Old t-shirts for art projects (Reason: These can be brought to Mrs. Platt's art class for art projects and also be used in the few Social Studies hands-on art projects we complete in class. This can also help out with our Christmas art projects.)
  • Camp-style chairs (Reason: They provide comfort for the students when reading a novel!)
  • Packs of water bottles (Reason: The class needs to stay hydrated during our Daily PE time as well as throughout the day.)

    Why do I admire Thomas Alva Edison so much?
    I admire Edison because my grandfather on my mother's side idolized him from the time he was a child. He researched and wrote a novel about him about ten years ago. My grandfather taught me what it truly means to have a passion for something. His interest in Edison carried on to my mother and then myself.
