Welcome to Ocala, Home of Silver Springs
Ocala is located in the central region of Florida, approximately one hour north of Brooksville. Serving as the most popular attraction in Ocala is Silver Springs, which is world famous for its glass-bottom boats. It is a natural wonder in Florida, surrounding the headwaters of the Silver River, the largest artesian spring in the world. From the glass-bottom boards, one can view alligators, fish, shellfish, and turtles. The water is approximately eighty feet deep. Also in the park are several featured shows. Alligator and crocodile feedings are presented every day during warm summer months at 2:30 in the afternoon.
