Tallahassee, Our State's Capital
Tallahassee is the capital of the state of Florida. Tallahasee is an intriguing place to visit because of all the museums and exhibits!

  • First on your Tallahassee tour is the Old Capitol Museum. It has been restored to its 1902 appearance and currently houses the Florida Center of Political History as well as the restored House of Representatives and Sentate Chambers, Supreme Court, and Governor's suite.

  • Second on the tour is the capitol building. Did you know that our capitol building is one of four tower capitols in the United States? If you go to the twenty-second floor of our capitol building, you can see a panoramic view of Tallahassee.

  • Another must-see is the Museum of Florida History. At this museum, there are exhibits such as Spanish galleon treasures, Civil War memorabilia, and an exhibit on Prehistoric Florida. There are nearly 44,000 exhibits! Learn more about the museum here.
