    Virtual Florida Adventure-

  • Florida Trip, Class of 2008-2009- A PowerPoint adventure that included our names as we "traveled" around the state. I got the photos from travel sites. The story is original.
  • Florida Camping Adventure- PowerPoint I created with some camping pictures I located. Part of a camping math lesson.
  • Haunted Field Trip to St. Augustine- PowerPoint introducing my students to a writing contest about a haunted field trip experience in St. Augustine.
  • St. Augustine Houses and Forts- PowerPoint about the ways of building colonial homes and the forts in St. Augustine. The first pictures are from StAugustine4kids.com (partially owned by my former professor Dr. Davis). The other pictures are from history websites depicting the Colonial Spanish Quarter and showing the old ways of building houses.

    Where We Are From- Brooksville, Florida-

    Brooksville, Florida is located 45 minutes north of Tampa, Florida and approximately 20 minutes east of Weeki Wachee, "Home of the Mermaids". The Gulf of Mexico is thirty minutes from us to the west while the Atlantic Ocean is three hours from us to the east. Brooksville is four hours south of our state capitol, which is Tallahassee.

    Brooksville is the county seat of Hernando County. Hernando County stretches 37 miles from east to west and is bounded on the north by the Chassahowitzka Swamp and Withlacoochee State Forest. Several tracts of land have been preserved in our county, and we are known as the "Nature Coast" of Florida.
