Customer #1- MRS. PACHARKO

Mrs. Pacharko: I want to visit "America's Oldest City", St. Augustine, because I am a history buff! I think I am going to stay for three days and four nights. Please tell me the figures for the hotel I plan on staying in as well as the prices for all the attractions I plan on visiting. Here is the list-

STEP ONE- Hotel-

  • Hotel- The Casa Monica Hotel- I stay in nothing but the best. This is one of the grandest luxury hotels in St. Augustine. I need to find out the price for four fabulous nights.

    [When you go in, look at the right side of the screen where it says [Make A Reservation]. Keep the arrival date the same. Make it 4 nights, 1 room, 1 adult, and 0 kids. Then click on Reserve Your Stay to see the grand total for staying in the Casa Monica for four nights! When you click, you will see a price under the first and fourth night. Add that first number together four times to see how much it'll be for Mrs. Pacharko to stay in the hotel. You're on the right track if your total is close to $1,000.00.]

    STEP TWO- Attractions-

  • St. Augustine Lighthouse- Click here to record the price for Mrs. Pacharko to visit the lighthouse. She is a senior wanting to see the museum and tower. Make sure you give her the senior discount... or she'll be quite angry.
  • Castillo de San Marcos National Monument- Click here to see what the price is for adults 16 and above to enter the fort.
  • St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains- Click here to see how much it costs for Mrs. Pacharko to pay for a Historic Package tour, which includes a narrated historic train tour, the Fountain of Youth, the Government House Museum, the Lightner Museum, Old Florida Museum, Oldest House, Oldest Wooden School House, and Colonial Spanish Quarter.

    STEP THREE- How Many Hours Will She Be Driving?-
    Mrs. Pacharko is driving from Atlanta, Georgia, which is 375 miles from St. Augustine. If there are 60 minutes in an hour, approximately how many hours will she be in the car?

    STEP FOUR- ON YOUR SHEET-

  • Add together the price of the hotel and three attractions to see how much Mrs. Pacharko is spending in St. Augustine for the "basics".
  • Make sure you write down how many hours she is driving to get to St. Augustine.
