W.D. Hartley Elementary School is located in "America's Oldest City", St. Augustine, and I personally know a number of the students who attend the school. This is our fourth year in having pen pals who attend Hartley. Having pen pals in America's Oldest city has enabled us to have experience in visiting St. Augustine and learning about Florida's rich heritage and extensive history. The Hartley teachers are also very excited to work with our class every year!

Having pen pals has been an intriguing experience because not only do we get to write to the class, we get to meet them and exchange things we make. I especially have enjoyed keeping in touch with the staff and students at Hartley Elementary School because that is where I had my internship in second grade.
