Our classroom weblog is intended to open the lines of communication for our class in many ways. We are going to be discussing interesting topics. The entries are seperated into four categories- Fourth Grade Only, Partner Class, Newspaper Staff, and Pen Pals. Students in my class can respond to any of the topics. Mrs. Boggess' fourth grade pen pal class is contacted when there are new entries, and so is Mrs. Gries' fifth grade class (our partner class at MES).

Some cool topics we plan to discuss:

    Fourth Grade Only:

  • Discussion topic about the latest chapter book we are reading
  • Discuss the experiment we most recently completed together.
  • Challenge yourself with this multiplication game... (or whichever game)
  • Introducing ourselves at the beginning of the year/Getting to know you questions throughout the year

    Pen Pals:

  • Where is Brooksville, Florida?
  • Who and which groups helped establish our state?
  • What is interesting about the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument?
  • What are some common interests that our two classes share? Favorite foods, movies, music, books, etc.

    Partner Class:

  • What did you learn from our experiment today?
  • Visit a website having to do with what our two classes learned together. What new information did you learn?
  • Discuss a current event affecting our nation.
  • ANYTHING having to do with critical thinking skills!

    Newspaper Staff:

  • A new survey question for staff members
  • Post websites that are interesting from Ms. Jasztal's links page
  • Discussion topics about current events/movies/books/music
