2. Be A Tour Guide [and make a brochure]:: Homosassa Springs State Park- Read about a state park in your area and create a brochure all about it. When you visit the website, what do you think is the main attraction?

This activity is about how people are working to stop child labor, where children work really long hours and rarely earn any money for it at all. It may also be a threat to their health.

14. The Main Idea:: Sophia Fowler Gallaudet- Sophia Gallaudet was so incredible that she opened a college for the deaf. She is one of the most renowned deaf Americans to have ever lived.
15. The Main Idea:: Thomas Alva Edison- Imagine inventing over 1,200 things for people to use. Well, that's Thomas Alva Edison for you! This man who lived in the late 1800s and early 1900s changed how people would live forever. He made electricity a reality for everyone.

18. What Is Citizenship?- We are citizens of the United States of America. Well, what does it mean to really be a citizen? We are given rights such as voting when we turn eighteen. We also have many responsibilities to promote the common good of our country. Read about those rights and responsibilities of citizenship here.
19. Willie Mays:: Based On An Interview- Willie Mays is an African-American baseball player from the time in history where it was really difficult to be an African-American. This time period is called Civil Rights. Well, no matter what, Willie Mays earned himself an incredible reputation.
